the brief

To create a physical interface which would allow visitors to the Ron Arad retrospective to interact with tomato's interactive software without intruding on Ron Arad's design.

the project

Using our long experience of designing site specific hardware for Levi Strauss and the science museum, we created a seamless button out of Arad's existing mirrored display systems. This was done by cutting the silver plating away to create small 'islands' of mirror which could then act as capacitance sensors. These were wired up and connected to the interactive software display.
