To experiment with interactive sound design online. To create an interactive music toy which is simple, intuitive and compelling. |

the project
|
Globe models time as a spinning sphere on which you can place musical notes. You trigger notes by hitting the number keys (1 -9) and these take their place within the loop. As the sphere spins, the notes come around again, and you can play more to combine with the ones you played earlier. Each note has a limited life - it fades over time, so you have to keep playing to regenerate and develop your composition. Globe plays with time, sequence and repetition in a way which is interactive, engaging and elegant.
